RATES

Long Outfitting is one of the only outfitters in the area to offer a 1 fisherman guide rate and a different rate for wade trips versus float trips. With wade trips, we don't have to pay for shuttles and save some wear and tear on our drift boats. We also feel it is unfair for a single to pay the same amount that two people would for a guide day. Most of our overhead stays constant whether we have 1 or 2 fisherman, but we do have lower lunch expenses and less weight in our boats rowing down the rivers. Hopefully, 1 on 1 bookings and wade fishermen will appreciate how we feel about our pricing structure!

Please note: three person trips might be available and can be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

Half day guide trips include an Orvis Endorsed guide, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and terminal tackle. Transportation to and from your fishing location is supplied free of charge.

What's Not Included
Montana and Yellowstone National Park fishing licenses, Yellowstone National Park entrance fees, equipment rental fees, flies, private water access fees, and guide tips are not included in the guide fees.

Guide Gratuity
Gratuity for your guides is not included in the cost of your trip. We are always asked what an appropriate guide tip is for a guided trip. In years past, depending on how hard your guide works (and not how many fish you catch), a tip of $80-120 seems to be the average for a full day guide trip for 2 anglers.

Payment and Deposits for Trips
At the time of booking, a 50% deposit is required. We have a 30 day cancellation policy on reservations. You can cancel within 30 days of your trip, but we have the right to keep your deposit, roll your deposit over to another date, or fully refund your deposit based on the circumstances.

Private water reservation deposits have a 60 day cancellation policy on most of the properties. If you cancel your reservation within 60 days of your trip, you will forfeit your deposit of 50% of the rod fees.

Long Outfitting accepts payments for trips by cash, check or credit card. We prefer cash or check. A 3% surcharge will be added on all credit card payments.
